This is the text of a severe warning from the National Weather Service for part of the AlabamaWX.com coverage area. Thunderstorms in a line from Fort Payne to Montgomery continue to produce hail and wind gusts into the 40 to 50 mph range. Isolated thunderstorms continue to become marginally severe with hail around 1 inch in diameter and damaging wind the biggest threats.

THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL…AND DAMAGING
WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR WETUMPKA…
AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.
