Storms Approaching West Alabama

| June 24, 2014 @ 11:43 am

Another day, another round of showers and storms. The warm and very warm air mass is providing ample fuel for the scattered to numerous storms we see each day.

We do have some storms approaching some of our western counties and these storms will be impacting portions of Lamar, Pickens, and Sumter Counties. They will continue to move towards the east and will be affecting many areas of Central Alabama. At this time, none of these storms are severe, but they are producing some gusty winds, frequent lightning, perhaps some small hail, and very heavy rainfall.

Elsewhere, we are beginning to see additional showers develop over portions of Marion and Winston counties as well. It certainly looks like it is going to be a wet and stormy afternoon across much of Central Alabama.
