DRY DAYS: This cool, dry, continental air means rain-free weather for Alabama through Friday, with sunny pleasant days and fair cool nights. Just a slow day to day warming trend. Makes for a very easy forecast.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: Saturday will be warm and dry with a partly sunny sky and a high in the mid 80s. Moisture levels rise Sunday, and a few scattered showers could break out Sunday afternoon. Nothing widespread, but a few neighborhoods could see a decent shower, or maybe even a thunderstorm.

NEXT WEEK: We will maintain the chance of scattered showers and storms Monday, but the weather looks relatively rain-free for the middle part of the week. See the Weather Xtreme video for the maps, graphics, and more details.

TROPICS: All is quiet, and tropical storm formation is not expected across the Atlantic basin through the week.

GULF COAST WEATHER: Sunny days and fair nights from Panama City to Gulf Shores through Friday with highs in the 80s; a small risk of a shower Saturday, then a few widely scattered showers or storms are possible Sunday. Still a decent amount of sun for the weekend. Sea water temperatures are mostly in the mid 80s.

WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 90 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes. This is the show all about weather featuring many familiar voices, including our meteorologists here at ABC 33/40. Scroll down for the show notes on the new episode we recorded last night.
