Chilly Saturday, Freezing Temps Tonight

| November 1, 2014 @ 3:26 pm

What a difference a day and a front makes. It is feeling more like early winter compared to mid-fall across the state today. All locations across the state were in the 30s this morning and this afternoon, it remains breezy with temps in the 40s and low 50s.  There are some clouds through the state, mainly east of Interstate 65. By this evening, the winds will go calm, and the sky will clear, get ready for a frigid night with lows below freezing.

Nearly the entire state of Alabama is under a freeze warning tonight. This warning extends all the way down to northern Mobile and Baldwin counties. The only part of the state not under the warning is the extreme southeastern counties which are actually covered by the NWS in Tallahassee. Look for temps to range between 27-32 degrees in the morning. This weekend should mark the end of the growing season across much of the state.
