An all new edition of the ABC 33/40 Weather Xtreme video is available in the player on the right sidebar of the blog. You can subscribe to the Weather Xtreme video on iTunes by clicking here.

COLD START: Here are some temperatures at daybreak across the great state of Alabama…

Black Creek (just northeast of Gadsden) 21
Sycamore 23
Fort Payne 23
Russellville 23
Cullman 24
Coker 26
Gadsden (Noccalula Falls) 26
Anniston 27
Birmingham 28
Lake View (Tuscaloosa County) 28
Tuscaloosa 28

Temperatures will remain below average today; most places will see a high between 47 and 52 degrees… the average high (for Birmingham) for November 28 is 60.

THE WEEKEND: We warm into the low 60s tomorrow with a good supply of sunshine. Dew points and moisture levels begin to rise Sunday, so there should be a slow increase in cloud cover. And, we might consider mentioning the risk of a shower during the day, but for now we have left the forecast dry. Sunday’s high be in the upper 60s as the warming trend continues.

IRON BOWL: Very nice weather for the state of Alabama’s biggest game tomorrow night in Tuscaloosa (6:45p CT kickoff)… most fair with upper 50s at kickoff, and low 50s by the final whistle.

NEXT WEEK: A well defined cold front will be just north of Alabama Monday, and showers could drift down into the Tennessee Valley. But, down our way the chance of rain continues to be pretty small, and the weather stays mild with a high in the 60s. The front washes out to the north, and we are looking at dry and pleasant weather Tuesday through Thursday with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. A weak surface front will bring a chance of showers at the end of the week on Friday (December 5), but it sure doesn’t look like a big rain event for now. And, we see no sign of any severe weather issues for the next 10-15 days. See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and details.
