A Few Showers Remain

| December 6, 2014 @ 11:56 am

The bulk of the rain is exiting Central Alabama. The heaviest band of rain is down towards the U.S. 80 corridor. It certainly was a soaking and beneficial rain for part of North-Central Alabama overnight, with radar estimates over four inches in some locations. At midday, we are still seeing a few moderate showers impacting the Birmingham Metro and locations along I-20. Over the next few hours, we should see all the rain taper off and it should be a mainly dry afternoon in Central Alabama.

Drier air is slowly moving into the state. Through the afternoon, we should continue to see mainly cloudy conditions, but there should be a few peeks of sun. Clouds will slowly decrease in coverage overnight, and we should see more sun than clouds Sunday.
