Tornado Warning for Sumter County

The storm has lost its circulation, so the NWS has canceled the tornado warning for Sumter County. The severe thunderstorm warning continues for part of Pickens County.

The NWS in Birmingham has issued a tornado warning for Sumter County for the storm near Cuba. It is moving northeast and should pass near York, just west of Livingston and in the general directions of Boligee and Gainesville. This storm is in a prime location to be tornadic behind the warm front with excellent low level shear and a decent amount of instability.

This storm will move into northern Greene and then into southeastern Pickens or Tuscaloosa Counties after that.

THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THIS DANGEROUS STORM
WAS LOCATED NEAR CUBA…AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 55 MPH.
