Roads Becoming Hazardous Across Northern Jefferson County

The band of freezing rain and sleet moving across the northern half of Jefferson County is resulting in hazardous road conditions.

Gardendale PD is shutting down I-65 north and southbound at exit 275 because of ice according to John Talbot.

There is a wreck on the entrance ramp to I-65 north at Morris.

Areas from Adamsville and Forestdale over across Fultondale/Gardendale northward into Warrior, Kimberly and over to Pinson and Argo will be most impacted.

As the band passed through Walker County, ice accumulated on roadways across the county, causing multiple accidents.

From Walker County 911: Hwy 269 bridge at Copeland Ferry has iced over. Hwy 69 bridge between Jasper and Oakman has iced over as well.
