Numerous Accidents in Snow Areas

Numerous automobile accidents are being reported across Walker County according to John Talbot. A little earlier Jasper Police called in all their officers because the roads were becoming impassable.

The changeover line extends from southern Etowah County into northern St. Clair County then into extreme northern Jefferson County, southern WAlker and into Fayette and Lamar Counties.

This is an approximation of the transition line using the correlation coefficient product off the dual pol radar from Birmingham.

The Skycam in Oneonta shows a dusting with roads becoming snow covered. Multiple accidents being reported across Blount County.

It is snowing hard in Gadsden according to the Skycam there.

Cullman has already more than 1.5 inches of snow. No problems yet on I-65 north of Birmingham according to State Troopers but a late report from Richard Viola at 2:00 says that there are reports of bridge ice on I-65.
