First 10″ Report

The NWS reports that there is 10″ of snow in Guin in Marion County. That is the first double digit snow report.

TUSCALOOSA
It sounded like a football game in Bryant Denny when the snow started on the University of Alabama campus. Students all hit their Twitter accounts simultaneously to rejoice.

It is snowing in downtown Tuscaloosa, on the University of Alabama campus and in Northport.

1-2 inches of snow should fall in Tuscaloosa.

BIRMINGHAM
Rain should change to snow in Birmingham around 8 p.m. It should snow for about 4 hours.

It is sleeting in Homewood and snowing in Hueytown.

The Birmingham area should see…
…6+” up around Warrior
…around 2-4″ around Gardendale and Fultondale
…around 2-4″from Hueytown to downtown to Leeds
…around 1-2″ from Bessemer to Hoover to Liberty Park and northeast Shelby County around Sterrett
…an inch or less across southern Tuscaloosa County, northern Bibb County, Central Shelby and Central Talladega County.
