**No Weather Xtreme video this afternoon due to the active weather in progress**

HAIL PRODUCING STORMS: Stronger storms across Alabama this afternoon are producing hail and very frequent lightning; we have one report of a person being struck by lightning in northern Cullman County earlier this afternoon.

A severe thunderstorm watch continues for North/Central Alabama until 7:00 p.m. Storms will weaken after the sun goes down.

TOMORROW/THURSDAY: Tomorrow looks warm and mostly dry with only isolated showers or thunderstorms. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be a little more active Thursday, but there will still be some decent intervals of sunshine during the day. Afternoon highs will be in the 78-82 degree range both days.

COLD FRONT AT THE END OF THE WEEK: A cold front will bring an organized band of showers and storms to Alabama late Friday and Friday night; some of those storms could be strong to severe with potential for hail and gusty winds, much like the storms we have today. Main threat of rain and storms will come from about 4:00 p.m. Friday through 4:00 a.m. Saturday.

EASTER WEEKEND: The weather will be cooler and dry. The sky becomes sunny Saturday with a high in the low 60s. Sunday morning will be chilly with a low in the low 40s; colder valleys could see 30s with some scattered light frost. Then, we warm to near 70 degrees Sunday afternoon with a good supply of sunshine.

Moisture returns early next week with showers and storms possible by Monday.

AT THE BEACH: Very nice weather continues this week from Panama City over to Gulf Shores with mostly sunny days and fair nights; highs will be in the 70s, and lows in the 60s. A few widely scattered showers could show up late Friday and Saturday, but even then most of the weekend will be rain-free. The ocean water remains cool, with sea surface temperatures generally in the mid to upper 60s.
