Thunderstorms pushed into South-Central Alabama and weakened, as expected, and the severe threat has ended.

All of the counties have been canceled from the severe thunderstorm watch. The following counties were just cleared: Autauga, Chambers, Dallas, Elmore, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Montgomery, Perry, Randolph, Russell and Tallapoosa.

Light rain lingers over Central Alabama and it will diminish over the next hour.

Storms over Tennessee will drop into Alabama after midnight, but they will weaken overnight and won’t be severe.

Scattered storms are expected across North and Central Alabama again tomorrow and some of them could be severe again, although we probably won’t see the widespread severe weather we saw tonight.
