Fine Fall Weather

| November 14, 2015 @ 2:12 pm

A phenomenal fall day again as plenty of sunshine, cool temps and overall no weather woes ongoing across the state, and temperatures have climbed into the 60s area wide. There are a few of those upper-level cirrus clouds working in from the west, but no rain associated with them, and we will be staying dry the rest of this weekend.

Two 1030mb high pressures are centered over the Ohio Valley and Arkansas, and these are firmly in control of the weather over Alabama. A nice fall air mass is in place meaning very few clouds, mild afternoons temperatures, and cold mornings. These highs will continue to slowly shift east the next several days and will be allowing a change in the weather for the new work week.

For tonight, another cold night is expected and frost will be threatening many spots. The NWS maintains frost and freeze alerts for portions of North-Central and East Alabama. Once again, most communities will see a low between 30 and 35 degrees early tomorrow, but colder pockets will visit the 20s.

For tomorrow, expect a near repeat of today. Most locations will have highs in the lower to mid-60s across Central Alabama and overall a terrific November day. No need for the rain gear, you just need the jackets to start the day and certainly have those sunglasses as ample sunshine will fill the Alabama sky.
