Eta will bring dangerous storm surge, flash floods, and strong winds to parts of Cuba, the Florida Keys and South Florida.
Eta is experiencing increased wind shear which may be leading to some weakening. NOAA Hurricane Hunters will be back in the storm late this afternoon to give us a better indication.
Skies are partly to mostly cloudy and temperatures are warming through the 70s, heading for highs generally in the upper 70s. Muscle Shoals was already at 79F. Several spots may touch 80F.
A mix of clouds and sun is prevalent over a warm and humid morning here n Alabama. The day should be mainly dry with a few showers over eastern sections of the state this afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 70s.
