Gov. Kay Ivey and the Alabama Department of Public Health announced today that ADPH on Jan. 18 will begin providing COVID-19 vaccinations statewide by appointment to residents 75 years or older and first responders, including law enforcement and firefighters.
Alabama’s great outdoors can be enjoyed any time of year and hiking is a great socially-distanced way of getting out of the house during a pandemic.
Clouds continue to block out the sunshine as we are making it toward the midday hour in Central Alabama. Those will eventually begin to diminish somewhat from west to east later this afternoon and evening, and will become mostly clear by the late night and overnight hours.
We’ll have a dry and cool weekend before some of us in Central Alabama may see some wintry precipitation on Monday. After that, dry weather returns with moderating temperatures.
