SUNNY WINTER DAY: The sky is sunny for a change across Alabama this afternoon, and as advertised temperatures have warmed nicely. A few spots across West Alabama have reached 60 degrees, most spots are in the mid to upper 50s. Clouds will increase tonight ahead of a cold front, and a few scattered showers are possible statewide. But, moisture is very limited, and rain amounts will be light and spotty.

FREEZING FOG AGAIN: Again this morning “freezing fog” has formed over parts of North/Central Alabama… this is simply fog that forms with surface temperatures below freezing. It can lead to rime ice collecting on exposed surfaces, and can lead to slick spots on bridges and overpasses. A freezing fog advisory is in effect for areas along and north of I-59; temperatures will be above freezing by 8:30-9:00.
