The storms that have brought very heavy rain, intense lightning, and gusty winds to the Birmingham Metro area have pushed east of the city at this hour and have weakened a bit as they encounter slightly cooler and more stable air.
Strong storms are approaching the Birmingham Metro from the west now and will bring heavy rain, lightning, gusty winds, and some pea sized hail to the area as they move through over the next hour.
