Alabama Newscenter — Football Preview: Jacksonville State University Tackles ‘Second Season’ of 2020-21 School Year
The Gamecocks are preparing to begin the spring portion of their 2020-21 season, which includes a March 7 game vs. Tennessee State.
RADAR CHECK: We have a few snow flurries over the northwest corner of Alabama today, where some spots received five inches of snow last night from a big Deep South winter storm. Otherwise, the sky is cloudy over the state with temperatures well below average for mid-February. We will maintain the chance of a few snow flurries tonight, otherwise the weather will be cloudy and cold with lows mostly in the 20s.
It remains mainly cloudy and cold with highs in the 30s over North Alabama, 40s in Central Alabama, and 50s for South Alabama.
CALMING DOWN: The big mass of precipitation that brought rain, sleet, and snow to Alabama last night has mostly moved out of the state… the exception is the southeast corner of the state where a tornado watch remains in effect for Geneva and Houston counties until 8a CT. Storms there will be over by mid-morning.
