An all new edition of the ABC 33/40 Weather Xtreme video is available in the player below. You can subscribe to the Weather Xtreme video on iTunes by clicking here.

LOOKING GOOD: Looks like a string of dry and pleasant days ahead for Alabama. Looks like mid 80s tomorrow, low 80s on Wednesday, and a high around 80 on Thursday and Friday. Some Atlantic moisture tries to sneak in from the east late in the week with an upper low over the Carolinas in retrogression, but I don’t see a need to mention any chance of rain at this point.

WEEKEND PEEK: Looks like the beautiful weather continues into the weekend with sunny warm days and clear cool nights; highs in the 80s and lows in the 50s.

VOODOO LAND: Check out the Weather Xtreme video and look at the big upper trough the GFS is advertising in about 8 days… right as October begins. If this is correct, that will deliver the coolest air so far this season. Nice.

TROPICS: The tropical disturbance southwest of San Juan should move northward; most models develop this into Tropical Storm Kyle in coming days; the GFS and the GFDL both suggest a threat to the upper Atlantic coast, perhaps as a hurricane. The 12Z GDFL brings Kyle into Long Island Friday. See the Weather Xtreme video for the graphics; this one will not be a problem for the Gulf of Mexico.

WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 30 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes. This is the show all about weather featuring many familiar voices, including our meteorologists here at ABC 33/40. You can even listen here on the blog; look for the player on the top left. Our new episode will be posted by midnight tonight.

TWITTER: Don’t forget, you can follow our news and weather updates from ABC 33/40 on Twitter here. And, my personal Twitter feed is here if you want to keep up with my adventures in life. Twitter is a short messaging service you can receive via the web, cell phone, or IM.

I enjoyed seeing kids today at Chelsea Intermediate School… the next Weather Xtreme video will be posted by 7:00 a.m. tomorrow…
