Way Later Than Midday Look at Central Alabama’s Weather

| October 17, 2017 @ 2:52 pm

Clear and cool as we approach the 3:00 PM hour in Central Alabama. Temperatures are running in the upper 60s to the lower 70s throughout the area, with Birmingham currently at 70 degrees. A few locations are tied as the warm spot at 73 degrees, while a few are tied as the cold spot at 69 degrees.

Weather For The Rest Of Your Tuesday

Sunny skies for the remainder of the day, with clear skies throughout the evening and overnight hours. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 60s to the lower 70s throughout the area, with overnight lows dipping into the 40s. A few of the colder spots could touch the upper 30s.

Sunny And Pleasant Weather For Wednesday

Nearly a carbon copy of today’s weather… Sunny skies throughout the day, with clear skies throughout the evening and overnight hours. Afternoon highs will be in the lower to mid-70s, with lows dropping mainly into the 40s once again with a few locations in the southern parts of the area making it into the lower 50s.

Temperatures Will Start To Warm A Little For The End Of The Week

We’ll continue the trend of very nice days and fair nights, but temperatures will start on a gradual warming trend. Thursday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 70s, while Friday’s highs will be in the upper 70s to the lower 80s throughout Central Alabama. Lows on both nights will be in the 40s and 50s.

The Week Ahead

We’ll have nearly perfect fall weather throughout Central Alabama for next week… We may have a few left over showers on Monday in the southeastern parts of the area after the passage of the cold front, but dry conditions can be expected throughout the end of the forecast period on Saturday, with mainly clear skies and afternoon highs in the 70s each day, with a few upper 60s possible on Monday.

The Central Alabama Weekend

Saturday will be a little warmer, plus we’ll have increasing moisture levels due to the flow changing out of the south. We’ll have more clouds than sun, but we should remain dry throughout the day. Sunday will feature mainly cloudy skies throughout the day with a few scattered showers possible out ahead of a cold front. That front will start to move into the state late on Sunday evening, bringing us a good chance of rain and some thunder for Sunday night ans through a good part of the day on Monday. Highs on both days will be in the upper 70s to the lower 80s. Rainfall amounts at this time look to be in the 1/2 to 3/4 inch range for much of Central Alabama.
