Strong Storms Approaching Jefferson County

At 636 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles north of Holly Pond to Parrish. Movement was east at 50 mph. Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with these storms.

Therefore, a SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for southeastern Walker, Blount, Northwestern Etowah, and Northern Jefferson counties until 7:30 PM.

Birmingham, Homewood, Gardendale, Fairfield, Boaz, Fultondale, Oneonta, Sumiton, Cordova, Dora, Blountsville, Cleveland, Dallas, Center Point, Pleasant Grove, Clay, Pinson, Tarrant, Midfield and Adamsville.
