Cloudy, Breezy, Falling Temperatures

| December 23, 2017 @ 12:14 pm

Our first front is pushing through Alabama today, and brought with it gusty winds and brief heavy downpours as the initial line moved through the area. Temperatures will continue to fall through the rest of today, and after starting the day in the 60s and 70s, we are in the 50s heading towards the 40s by this evening.

The majority of the rain has pushed off to the south and east and the rest will be winding down later this evening.

Overnight we should see lows settle into the lower 40s.

CHRISTMAS EVE: Tomorrow will be dry for the most part, but there could be a few areas of drizzle at times. The day will be mostly cloudy and rather cool with temperatures ranging from the upper 40s to lower 50s during the afternoon. Expect gusty winds out of the northwest at times, making it feel colder. Late tomorrow, another front will push across the area bringing the much colder air mass just in time for Christmas.

COLD CHRISTMAS DAY: The day will be cold, dry, and sunny. We start the day in the 20s with highs in lower to mid 40s for most of North/Central Alabama.
