Cold Saturday Afternoon, Very Cold Saturday Night

| January 13, 2018 @ 12:58 pm

It has been a cloudy, gray and unpleasant morning, but this afternoon we are finally starting to see the sky gradually clear.

Despite the sunshine this afternoon, temperatures will remain cold with highs struggling to climb above freezing in many locations.

It remains blustery this afternoon across much of Alabama, making it feel even colder, as wind chill values below are in the 20s for most locations, with a few teens at times.

It will be a very cold Saturday night as the sky will clear, which will allow temperatures to fall into the upper teens and lower 20s by first thing tomorrow morning. Below is the NAM model output for lows Sunday morning.

Winds will remain up some too, allowing for wind chills in the teens much of the night. Sunshine will be in full supply tomorrow, but it will remain cold, with highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Certainly bundle up and stay warm out there!
