Tonight Is The 1st Central Alabama NWA Chapter Meeting For 2018

The first Central Alabama NWA Chapter meeting for 2018 is tonight!

The Central Alabama NWA Chapter will hold its first meeting of 2018 tonight at 7:00 PM, but arrive early for sign-in, meet and greet, and snacks. The guest speaker for this meeting will be Kevin Laws, acting Meteorologist-in-Charge at the National Weather Service – Birmingham. His topic will be, “Does the National Weather Service Have a False Alarm Problem?” The meeting will be held at the Hampton Inn Birmingham-Colonnade 280 (address and directions are listed below).

All that is interested in weather is welcome to attend the meeting. You’ll be able to mix-and-mingle with some of the meteorologists from the National Weather Service in Birmingham and from the Birmingham TV market. We’ll have snacks, soft drinks, and water available for all who attend. And if you are already a member, please invite a friend, a co-worker, or even family.

2018 membership dues are $25.00, or $10.00 for non-members at the door. Non-members have the option to sign-up for membership at the meeting. Also, don’t forget to make a donation to the 2018 Scholarship Fund. Minimum amount is $10, but you are welcome to give more. Information is on our website.

From I-459 to US 280, (Exit 19); Go East on US 280 about 1/10th of a mile, turn right onto Colonnade Drive, (it will be the 1st right hand turn). Proceed straight ahead for 3/10th a mile and the hotel will be on your right at the corner of Colonnade Drive and Colonnade Parkway. Located in the prestigious Colonnade Corporate Center.
