Areal Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Chilton County Until 2:15 AM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
Western Chilton County in central Alabama…

* Until 215 AM CDT

* At 816 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area. Two to three inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Calera, Jemison, Thorsby, Maplesville, Chilton County Motor Sports
Park, Parnell, Minooka Park, Stanton and Isabella.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in at least minor flooding. Stay tuned
in case flash flood warnings become necessary.
