Another Wonderful Midday In Central Alabama

| May 1, 2018 @ 12:06 pm

After a wonderful day yesterday across Central Alabama, you can say it is even better today. We have mainly clear skies across much of the area with a few cumulus clouds floating overhead. Temperatures out there as we approach the noon hour are running in the mid-70s to the north to the lower 80s in the south. Birmingham is currently sitting at 79 degrees, while there are a few spots in the south tied at 81 degrees for the warm spot.

We’ll continue to have mainly clear skies throughout the remainder of the afternoon and into the early evening hours for much of Central Alabama, with the exception of the extreme southwestern corner of the area (southern Sumter, southern Green, southern Hale, and Marengo counties). For these areas, there is a very slight risk of a shower or two, but the odds of that happening is really low, less than 1 in 5. Afternoon highs will top out in the lower to mid-80s. Skies will be mainly clear tonight and temperatures will remain rather mild. Overnight lows only drop into the mid-50s to the lower 60s.

Great weather continues on Wednesday, as temperatures will be even warmer during the afternoon. Skies will be mostly sunny and afternoon highs will top out in the mid to upper 80s. Another great evening in store for Central Alabama, with clear skies and lows only dipping down into the upper 50s to the lower 60s.
