Flood Advisory for the Auburn/Opelika Area; One Inch in Past Hour, Additional Rain Falling

Thunderstorms over Lee County have produced one to two inches of rain in the past hour and rain continues to fall.

Some areas north of Auburn and east of Waverly picked up over 2 inches of rain in earlier storms as well and additional rain is moving over those areas.

The NWS has issued a flood advisory that includes Auburn, Opelika and Auburn University.

Some low lying spots and roadways will flood. Be careful if you are driving.
