An all new edition of the ABC 33/40 Weather Xtreme video is available in the player below. You can subscribe to the Weather Xtreme video on iTunes by clicking here.

PLEASANT DAYS, CHILLY NIGHTS: What a great weekend ahead. Lots of sun tomorrow and Sunday with afternoon highs in the 68 to 72 degree range; mornings will be chilly with most places dropping to near 40 early tomorrow.

NEXT WEEK: We are still looking at our next good chance of showers and storms on Wednesday of next week. This system has the potential to produce a significant severe weather outbreak for parts of the Southern Plains on Monday, and on Tuesday in places like Shreveport and Little Rock. By the time it gets here, the upper support will be pulling away, and for now we don’t expect a major severe weather threat.

Watch the Weather Xtreme video… you will see that the 12Z GFS continues the idea of drier air slipping in here Thursday. Beyond that, it is all model madness. This run keeps us mild over the following weekend, with another shot of rain on Sunday, and no real cold air. I do believe the correct solution is for rain Wednesday, perhaps another round of rain on Friday, followed by sharply colder weather that following weekend (March 28-29). I do believe we have the potential for a freeze before the month is over.

WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 30 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes. This is the show all about weather featuring many familiar voices, including our meteorologists here at ABC 33/40. You can even listen here on the blog; look for the player on the top left.

TWITTER: Don’t forget, you can follow our news and weather updates from ABC 33/40 on Twitter here. And, my personal Twitter feed is here if you want to keep up with my adventures in life. Twitter is a short messaging service you can receive via the web, cell phone, or IM.
