Dense Fog Possible Across East Central Alabama This Morning

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 8 AM CDT this morning for the following counties:

Autauga, Barbour, Blount, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Elmore, Etowah, Jefferson, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Montgomery, Pike, Randolph, Russell, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, and Tallapoosa.

Including the cities of Oneonta, Gadsden, Anniston, Centre, Heflin, Birmingham, Hoover, Columbiana, Pelham, Alabaster,
Pell City, Moody, Talladega, Sylacauga, Ashland, Roanoke, Clanton, Rockford, Alexander City, Dadeville, Valley, Lanett, Lafayette, Prattville, Fort Deposit, Hayneville, Wetumpka, Tallassee, Montgomery, Tuskegee, Union Springs, Auburn, Opelika,
Phenix City, Troy, and Eufaula

* VISIBILITY…LESS THAN ONE-HALF MILE AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS…dense fog will reduce visibility causing hazardous
driving conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to a quarter mile or less. If driving, slow down, use
your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
