The high was also well short of the record high of 99 degrees set back in 1977. The Birmingham International Airport did receive a trace of rain on Wednesday bringing our total for the month up to 2.25 inches, 0.40 inches above normal. There continues to be a rainfall surplus for the Magic City, as the total for the year so far is up to 31.10 inches, 5.28 inches above normal.
