…THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM CDT FOR CENTRAL SHELBY AND SOUTHEASTERN JEFFERSON COUNTIES… At 426 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated recent heavy rainfall due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Radar estimated over one and three quarters of an inch of rain have fallen. Some locations that will experience flooding include… Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Bessemer, Homewood, Pelham, Mountain Brook, Helena, Irondale, Fairfield, Midfield, Indian Springs Village, Lipscomb, Birmingham Fairgounds, B.j.c.c., Kingston, Five Points South, Oak Mountain State Park, Ensley and Bluff Park.

* At 318 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
    Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.
