More Strong Storms About to Move Into Northwest Alabama; Not Severe At This Time

| August 20, 2018 @ 10:21 pm

Another set of strong storms is approaching Northwest Alabama at this hour.

There are near Fulton, near Aberdeen and west of Okolona.

They are moving east-northeast at 40 mph.

The storm near Aberdeen will move into Lamar County near Sulligent, arriving around 10:30. The storm approaching Okolona will move into Marion County before midnight. Finally, the one west of Fulton will reach the Franklin/Marion County border between 10:30 and 10:45.

The storms have lots of lightning and probably gusty winds but they should remain below severe limits. No warnings at this time, only a few significant weather advisories.

The storms should weaken after they cross the border.
