Frost Advisory Issued For North & Parts Of Central Alabama For Monday Morning

Both NWS Huntsville and NWS Birmingham have issued a Frost Advisory that goes into effect at 3:00 am CDT Monday and is set to expire at 8:00 am CDT Monday.

North Alabama counties included in the advisory are Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan.

Central Alabama counties included in the advisory are Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Etowah, Fayette, Lamar, Marion, St. Clair, Walker, and Winston.

With calm winds and clear skies throughout the overnight and early morning hours, frost development is possible across North Alabama and the northern counties of Central Alabama as temperatures fall into the lower to mid-30s. Sheltered valleys will be the most susceptible to frost development. Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.
