A Good Case of Severe Clear Across Central Alabama

| December 2, 2018 @ 11:47 am

Our very own legend J.B. Elliott would have called today’s conditions “severe clear”.

It is borne out by this visible satellite image from the GOES-16 imager.

Temperatures are in the 70s now across Central Alabama. 60s are common across the Tennessee Valley.

Most places will top out in the 70s this afternoon, making for a nice day. Lows tonight will be in the 40s.

It will be cooler tomorrow, with highs in the upper 50s. Highs on Tuesday and Wednesday won’t get out of the 40s. Expect freezes Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

Next rain chance comes Friday night through much of Saturday, with lingering showers into Sunday morning. Storms are not expected to be a problem with that system.
