Looks like action may be heating up to our west and southwest as a new Tornado Watch was just issued for southwestern parts of Mississippi and the eastern and southeastern parts of Louisiana. Isolated wind gusts up to 70 MPH, hail up to 1 inch and diameter, and a couple tornadoes are possible in the watch area through 6:00 pm this evening. This watch includes the cities of Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Slidell, Natchez, and Jackson.

The Tornado Watch area is located within the area defined in a Slight Risk for severe storms throughout today by the Storm Prediction Center.
