…A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM CST FOR FRANKLIN… NORTHWESTERN MORGAN AND CENTRAL LAWRENCE COUNTIES… At 423 PM CST, local law enforcement has reported flooded roads in locations in and around the city of Russellville in Franklin County. Other reports of slow drainage and water over roads have been received in the Decatur area in northwestern Morgan County. A band of rainfall with some embedded heavier showers and thunderstorms will continue moving across the area into the early evening. Approximately one inch of rain has fallen across large portions of Franklin, Lawrence and western Morgan Counties, but this has occurred on top of nearly saturated soils, while streams have remained elevated. Some locations that will experience flooding include… Decatur, Hartselle, Russellville, Moulton, Red Bay, Priceville, Trinity, Phil Campbell, Belgreen and Hillsboro. * At 246 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated a band of rain with embedded thunderstorms producing heavy rain which will cause flooding across much of Franklin and Lawrence Counties and portions of western Morgan County. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen on top of saturated soils, and in some locations that are continuing to experience some flooding, with road closures.
