A Flood Warning Remains In Effect Until 8:15 PM CST For Northwestern Cullman And Morgan Counties

…A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM CST FOR NORTHWESTERN CULLMAN AND MORGAN COUNTIES… At 741 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated an area of very heavy rainfall that has fallen across the warned area over the past 1-2 hours. Additional light rainfall is expected over the next hour. Additionally, emergency management and law enforcement officials have reported some primary roads and numerous roads that were flooded and impassible. Some locations that will experience flooding include… Decatur, Cullman, Hartselle, Priceville, Good Hope, Falkville, Morgan City, Baldwin, Vinemont and Somerville.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Flood Warning for…
    Northwestern Cullman County in north central Alabama…
    Morgan County in north central Alabama…

* Until 815 PM CST.

* At 508 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause flooding. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen in the last hour, with additional heavy rainfall expected over the next 2-3 hours. Additionally, law enforcement and emergency management officials are reporting water running over roads due to areal flooding between Decatur and Falkville.
