A List Of All Confirmed Alabama Tornadoes So Far In 2019

| March 17, 2019 @ 6:16 pm

I have created a list of all of the confirmed tornadoes that have touched down in the state from the NWS offices that cover all 67 counties of Alabama. As of 6:00 pm CDT today, we are already up to 37 tornadoes so far in 2019. That is stunning considering we are only 2-1/2 months into the year and we are only 10 away from matching our total from 2018.

Here is the breakdown of the number of tornadoes by EF Scale:

EF-5… 0
EF-4… 1
EF-3… 0
EF-2… 5
EF-1… 15
EF-0… 16

We are still rather early in our Spring Severe Weather Season in Alabama as it doesn’t come to an end until the last day of May. We have to stay prepared and watch every system that moves across the area during this time.
