| April 16, 2019 @ 4:59 pm

Two more tornadoes have been confirmed by NWS Birmingham survey teams today:

EF1 – Bull Mountain Creek (Marion County)
EF1 – Hagler/Coaling Road (Tuscaloosa County)

That now makes the grand total from Sunday’s storms up to 11. Here is the list of the rest of the confirmed tornadoes:

EF1 – Aycock Heights (Colbert County)
EF1 – Pogo (Franklin County)
EF0 – County Road 16 (Shelby County)
EF0 – Highland Lakes (Shelby County)
EF1 – Glencoe (Etowah County)
EF0 – County Road 2243 (Pike County)
EF1 – Troy (Pike County)
EF0 – Phenix City (Russell County)
EF0 – Goshen (Crenshaw & Pike Counties)

Survey teams still have to inspect damage in Perry, Hale, Dallas, and Marengo counties, so the total may continue to go up. I’ll have another update when more have been confirmed.

With these eleven tornadoes added to the list for 2019, we are already up to 51 for the year. We have already surpassed the total of 46 from 2018. Here is the breakdown of tornadoes by EF Scale:

EF0 – 22
EF1 – 23
EF2 – 1
EF3 – 0
EF4 – 1
EF5 – 0
