Tornado Watch Coming Soon For Portions Of Louisiana & Mississippi

| April 18, 2019 @ 10:04 am

The threat of severe storms is starting to flare up back to our west in Louisiana and eventually into southwestern Mississippi. SPC has drawn up a mesoscale discussion stating that a tornado watch will be issued by 11:00 am CDT.

A few tornado warnings have been issued over the past hour in Louisiana, along with a few severe thunderstorm warnings.

We’ll have to keep our eyes on this system as it moves to the east as it will bring a threat of damaging winds and tornadoes to Central Alabama this afternoon and into tonight through the overnight hours.
