Radar Check at 7 a.m.: Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Parts of Pike County

Strong storms in South Central Alabama this morning, just northeast of Troy.

These storms have the potential to produce damaging winds and hail to the size of quarters.

Elsewhere, strong storms in the Pine Apple and Greenville area in South Central Alabama as well. Storms extend up to near Clanton. Even some thunder in the last few minutes across southern Jefferson and northern Shelby Counties.

Here’s the radar across the state:

The storms will continue for areas in the I-65 and I-85 COrridor this morning, moving east into Georgia by early afternoon.

For areas along and north of I-20, scattered showers will be diminishing as we go through the morning.
