| May 12, 2019 @ 8:04 am

We still have showers and storms across Central Alabama this morning.

The heaviest and most organized are in the US-80/I-85 COrridor at this hour, from Orrville and Selma over to the Montgomery area to near Society Hill.

The storms aren’t severe at this time, but they do have lots of torrential rain and lightning. They could also have gusty winds.

In the Birmingham area, there are moderate to heavy showers across the Metro right now. There is heavy rain near Moody.

Moderate to heavy rain extends from Anniston down to Alex City and Clanton.

The large mass of rain and storms will move through East Central Alabama, affecting areas from Montgomery to Auburn over the next couple of hours There is still some potential for severe weather for areas from Montgomery to Auburn down to Dothan until this activity departs the state.

Over North Central Alabama, in places like Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Anniston, and Gadsden, showers will be diminishing as we go through the morning.
