* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
West central Shelby County in central Alabama…
South central Jefferson County in central Alabama…

* Until 215 AM CDT.

* At 1118 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
    Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Alabaster, Pelham, Helena, Indian Springs
    Village, Riverchase, Patton Creek, Oak Mountain State Park, Hoover
    Metropolitan Stadium, Maylene, Riverchase Galleria, Oak Mountain
    Amphitheater, Ross Bridge, Joe Tucker Park, Siluria, Bessemer
    Airport, Lake Cyrus and Dogwood.
    Additional rainfall of one to two inches is expected over the area.
    This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
