Strong MCS Will Be Entering NW Alabama Shortly

For the folks in the northwestern parts of Central Alabama and in the western parts of North Alabama, a strong MCS is making its way through northern parts of Mississippi and will be crossing the AL/MS state line within the next 30 minutes or so. The leading edge of the MCS is severe at this point with damaging winds up to 60 MPH possible. If you are in Colbert, Franklin, Marion, Lamar, and Fayette counties, you need to be ready to move indoors immediately. Dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning and very heavy rain are already occurring with this complex.
