Significant Weather Advisory For Franklin And Southern Lawrence Counties Until 6:45 PM CDT

…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR FRANKLIN AND SOUTHERN LAWRENCE
COUNTIES UNTIL 645 PM CDT…
At 554 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking several clusters of strong
thunderstorms within the advisory area. However, the strongest cell
was located 7 miles northeast of Phil Campbell, or 9 miles southeast
of Russellville. All storms were drifting slowly southeastward
around 5 mph.
Wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph will be possible with these storms, along
with very heavy rainfall rates on the order of 2 to 3 inches per
hour.
Locations impacted include…
Russellville, Moulton, Phil Campbell, Belgreen, Hodges, Mt Hope,
Cedar Creek Reservoir, Atwood, Tharptown and Duketon.
