More Record Highs Fall: Ninth Straight Day at Birmingham

| October 5, 2019 @ 4:03 pm

Thermometer Sun Sky 40 Degres. Hot summer day. High Summer temperatures in degrees Celsius and Farenheit.

Birmingham has easily bested its former record high for the date. Hourly observations have hit 96F and the 5 min observations have hit 97F, so the former record of 94F is history.

Tuscaloosa has at least tied theirs, at 97F.

Anniston came nowhere close, with a high so far of 91F, well short of their record high of 99F. Anniston has fallen to 82 degrees.

Montgomery will miss as well, as their high so far was 97F before thunderstorms cooled it down to 73F.

Today should be the last day of record-breaking temperatures for the current heat wave.
