Storms over West Alabama this Morning

| October 7, 2019 @ 6:26 am

Showers and storms are pushing southeastward across North Central Alabama this morning.

They cover much of the Tennessee Valley at this hour.

Stronger storms are over parts of Winston, Marion, Pickens and Lamar Counties. The NWS has significant weather advisories up for much of Pickens and Lamar Counties for winds to 40 mph, torrential rains, and frequent cloud to ground lightning.

The storms should weaken over the next hour or so. If they hold together, they should reach the Birmingham area around noon.
