Areal Flood Advisory For Parts of Hale, Fayette, Marion, Marengo, & Tuscaloosa Counties Until 10:45 PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…
Tuscaloosa County in west central Alabama…
Marion County in northwestern Alabama…
Marengo County in southwestern Alabama…
Hale County in west central Alabama…
Fayette County in west central Alabama…

* Until 1045 PM CDT.

* At 846 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area. Showers with a few embedded
thunderstorms will move across the same area the next few hours. A
few inches of rain will occur and produce some minor flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Tuscaloosa, Northport, Demopolis, Hamilton, Winfield, Fayette,
Haleyville, Greensboro, Linden, Holt, Jefferson, Moundville, Guin,
Brookwood, Coaling, Hackleburg, Berry, Coker, Brilliant and Glen
Allen.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
