Winter Weather Advisory Canceled For Parts Of The Area, Some Counties Added

NWS Birmingham has canceled the Winter Weather Advisory for Lamar and Marion counties as the threat for any further snowfall has ended.

NWS Birmingham continues a Winter Weather Advisory for Fayette, Walker, and Winston counties until 2:00 am.

NWS Birmingham has added Blount, Cherokee, and Etowah counties to the Winter Weather Advisory until 2:00 am.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS CANCELLED
The back edge of the precipitation band has cleared Lamar and Marion Counties. No additional wintry mix or snow accumulations are expected across these areas.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM CST WEDNESDAY
WHAT: Snow expected. Snow accumulations of up to one-half inch.
WHERE: Blount, Cherokee, Etowah, Fayette, Walker, and Winston counties.
WHEN: Until 2:00 am Wednesday.
IMPACTS: Plan on slippery road conditions. Slow down and use caution while traveling.
