A Total Of Nine Tornadoes Hit North/Central Alabama On Monday

Both NWS Birmingham and NWS Huntsville completed their surveys of the damage that occurred on late Monday afternoon through Monday night and the grand total is at nine. At this point, the total that have struck the state so far in 2019 is now up to 76, but that number will probably change as there could have been another tornado that occurred in the southeastern corner of the state earlier today.
